At the 5th semester we had a cooperation with NIKE. 

The task was to design a product under the keywords "High performance" and "Zero-waste".

I developed a sustainable wellness concept, focusing on recovery after training and useful technologies within materials.

 

In relation to “High performance”, I’ve paid attention of the importance to recover after being active - to perform at your best at the next workout. Therefore I've placed emphasis on function, materials and their technological properties.

 

The selected materials contains the FIR technology, This technology is based on small minerals that are spun into the fibers, these minerals sends excess body heat (Far Infra Red rays) back into the body, which increases the blood circulation. This results in reduced muscle pain, has a healing effect and improves sleep quality – all resulting in faster recovery.

 

The placement of the muscles in the human body, is used as an inspiration for the lines in the design.

I’ve used the principles about "Zero waste" both in construction, as fully fashion, and in the choice of materials using only recycled materials as wool, silk and polyester, all to avoid wastage of materials.

 

With the line "Rebuild by Nike" – you 'rebuild' your body to get ready for the next workout, and help 'rebuild' the Earth's destruction by choosing a sustainable product.
