For my Bachelor degree in Fashion Design I developed a capsule collection for AW 15/16 for Acne Studios.

The collection is developed for northern women. The concept of the collection is styles that enhance your physical and psychological wellbeing through the materials, during the long and dark winter period in the north.

The long and dark winter often causes symptoms like vitamin deficiency, fatigue and lack of energy, illness, dry skin, badly well-being, and depression. Winter depression. All because of the lack of sunlight, and the cold weather.

My aim was to find materials that could cure these symptoms or ease them, while still keeping the high-end design.

The Materials I used for this collection contained;

Seaweed; Provide A and E vitamin for the skin and body and moisturize

Silver; Antibacterial and temperature regulating

Glow in the dark: Fabric that glows icy blue when it's dark. This has a positive psychological effect by "prolonging" the daylight.

FIR-technology: Increases the bloodcirculation - which results in a better well-beeing and more energy.

I took inspiration in classic menswear combined with details from sportswear to give the clothes a functional and comfortable feel, while keeping the classic and high-end look.
