For my 6th semester exam, a 72 hours exam, we had to develop products from the word "Simplification". I developed a concept which was based upon critical design for Stella McCartney. I simplified the complex subject, sustainability into clothes, taking a critical focus on overconsumption and pollution.

 

The overconsumption is expressed in the details of the garment e.g. double sleeves, extra long legs and sleeves, triple collar and pockets, and double drawstrings.

The pollution is expressed in the symbolic mask, and the black placement smoke print.

But still restraining the classic approach which describes the DNA of Stella McCartney.

 

The chosen materials are cotton organza, cotton satin, silk, wool and viscose.
